The Band

Charles Paske

Charles, or Charlie as his friends call him, was born and raised in Washington. He had an early start to music in grade school and has been the one constant he's kept with him throughout his life. As his studies in music progressed he constantly changed instruments from stringed to wind and back again. After graduating High School and leaving for a short time in the Army he returned to Washington and was house mates with long time school friend David Daschofsky. The two began playing traditional Irish music together in the SCA and later formed the Forgotton Celts in a more organized sense.

As a founding member of the band with long time friend David, he's been with the band since it's inception in 2000. He plays Guitar and Mandolin for the band as well as Lead vocals on most of the songs. He and David formed the band as a hobby and Charlie has, since David's resignation from the band, tried to keep the atmosphere as relaxing and fun as possible.

Charlie now spends his time away from his day job doing things band related or other things associated with the arts like historical rapier and writing. He also manages to cram in time with his girlfriend as well as a mild addiction to "First Person Shooter" video games.

Chris Lacina

Chris, or Brother Christopher as he's known in the band, joined the Forgotton Celts Soon after it's creation.

Raised in Southern California, Chris migrated to the Pacific Northwest in 1995. He met Charlie and Dave through mutual friends at an SCA event in Kitsap County and things have never been the same since.

With very little musical background (or talent) its surprising that he has risen to share the spotlight alongside Charlie. This would never have happened if not for the support of the rest of the band members and our extended fan base.

Chris spends most of his time writing software and listening to his extensive collection of Grateful Dead CDs. He currently shares his life with his partner of 13 years - Magi.

Phil Day

Phil joined the band soon after it's creation. He was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and went to college in Maine where much of his family is from. He moved to the Washington area in 1996 with his girlfriend to whom he was married in 2000. Having always been a fan of Irish music he was invited to join the band by "Hey you have a bodhran, why don't you join the band and learn to play it?" Little did they know what they were getting themselves into.

Phil spends his free time brewing beer, doing some woodworking, and a little fishing.

Ryan Dabney

Ryan was first introduced to the Celts after he met Charlie through mutual friends. Shortly after Daryl parted ways with the band Ryan seemed to be the right person at the right time and was asked to join in the summer of 2002.

Ryan spends his free time doing outdoor related things like offroading as well as his own mild addiction to computer games. He also can sometimes be found at the gun range or local bar or club with Charlie.

Heather Teachout

Heather, though being the most recent addition to the band in 2004, has known the Celts for the past few years. Her husband is the bodhran and whistle player for BOWI, a band that has been friends with the Celts for quite a while. Through this Heather was asked to join the Celts to fill in for the lacking flute sound after David had left the band.
